Don't use IE6 to surf the Web

The BBC has publicized an exploit that relies on users being disinclined to update their web browsing software. The software in question was Microsoft IE6.

IE7 (Windows Internet Explorer version 7, aka Microsoft Internet Explorer) is better and more secure. Go here to get it. (The next revision, IE8, is in 'release candidate' status, meaning you can download and play with a beta copy, but it isn't in its final form yet.)

Better yet, stick with Firefox 3 for all but the most Microsoft-specific website content.
